Traveling overseas for almost five months a year, I can say from my own experience that e-consigliere will serve a much-felt need of international travelers. It will take away the uncertainties and risk from tourism and business travel, which is worth a great deal to those who know what it is like to venture in unknown places. Once the traveler is confident that there is some one to look after his/her unforeseen needs, it will add a lot to the pleasure of travel."

Futuron Synergie’s foray in tourism is its 'Project e-consigliere’. It is your big brother in a strange land. It provides an e-companion to tourists anywhere globally. It is a business model in the Service Sector and is a mix of Tourism, Advertising, IT based services, Telecommunication, Hospitality, Global Trade and Finance
The psychological need to travel is the key for e-consigliere. E-consigliere doesn’t sell a destination, any airline or a hotel. It sells traveling. It sells comfort, assurance, warmth and security of a friend anywhere on the globe. So it does not address itself to only travelers but to all the 6+ billion people on the globe- the prospective travelers.
e-Consigliere answers the question as to how the technology and services may be blended so that seamless pan world information cum service base caters to the rising number of tourist globally.A real time, seamless delivery system of a bouquet of services to any traveler on the globe to enhance his sense of security, increase his pleasure quotient and remove his fear of unknown. Beyond languages, time zones and cultures.
The Basic Premise of E-consigliere is that every tourist should have one window for all his needs anywhere in the world. Information, services, security, pleasure and products to make him at home wherever he is on the globe.

Recently the social wing of the Group, under the Civil Society SRISHTI has done two very radical projects in two of the most difficult terrains of India where the defining parameters are diverse, utterly chaotic and defy sustainable and replicable solutions.
In first project Futuron Synergie designed a holistic plan for Bundelkhand on Strategic Management of Livestock and Fallen Carcass keeping in view the two major component in social development namely Natural Resource management (NRM) and Livelihood. This is a multidimensional and interdisciplinary platform to provide a number of livelihood opportunities, optimum utilization of resources, protection from environmental degradation, augmentation of natural resources, technology transfer, skill development and training, etc.
Bundelkhand is one of the poorest regions in terms of socio-economic indicators. It is drought prone region with low agricultural and animal productivity, soil erosion, fodder crisis, high rate of mortality among cattle, non-sustainable sources of livelihoods etc. The region has highest cattle-to-human ratio and a high proportion of workers depend on livestock resources for their sustenance. Since agricultural activities are limited, in absence of sustained, cohesive and holistic effort to resolve the problems of livestock resources, the poor suffer endlessly. The region demands project intervention in the fields of natural resource management, development of livestock resources and full utilization of fallen carcass.
All efforts till date have been in isolation and piecemeal approach has completely lost every benefit, which could have been garnered if they could have been fine-tuned together to result in the prosperity of the people.
The Touchstones of the project designed by Futuron Synergie
The SHGs involved in producing primary inputs like water, fodder, energy; manure/fertilizers would have a ready market among them selves. The secondary tier of production would end up in bulk sales for distribution networks. They include milk, milk-products, produce from agro forestry, fuel plantations, surplus energy, hide and skins and bye products from total carcass utilization.

Based on the design provided by Futuron Synergie, SRISHTI – the social arm of the Futuron Group conducted a study funded by the Department for International Development, (DFID) Government of United Kingdom for the poverty alleviation in Bundelkhand, India. The study report is available at www.srishti.org.in. The report forms the basis for an extensive project, which is under preparation and several global organizations are being approached for possible collaboration.
Executive Summary
The AIDS epidemic, unprecedented in its scale and impact, is both an immediate emergency as well as an evolving long-term threat. In the present scenario, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment is a strategic issue for social stability, economic development and national prosperity and security. Several studies have shown that commercial sex workers (CSWs), men who have sex with men (MSMs), truckers, migratory population, injection drug users (IDUs) and street children are some of the vulnerable groups which are comparatively more at risk of being infected by HIV. Due to their legal status or the nature of their jobs, these vulnerable groups often come in contact with Police system. Apart from its adversities, this contact also presents a unique opportunity for the Police personnel to play a facilitators’ role in the prevention and care of HIV/AIDS.
Uttar Pradesh has the distinction of having one of the largest Police forces in the world; comprising approximately 170,000 personnel serving a population of about 180,000,000, spread over 70 districts. Similar to other places, these Police personnel is are always the first contact point within the government system for marginalized communities such as CSWs, IDUs, MSMs, migrants, and victims of trafficking. There is a need for capacity building drives and policy advocacy within the entire Police force in order to equip it with the knowledge and skill required to provide leadership and support to all various agencies, NGOs and CBOs working on HIV prevention and care. This proposed leadership and support can be manifested through the Police personnel’s individual behavior as well as by the establishment of supportive and effective institutional mechanisms.
With this view in mind, a pilot project – PACT (Police and Community Togetherness), was taken up to create a model action plan in order to establish an effective interfacing mechanism between the Police and key stakeholders for HIV prevention and care in the Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh. The two primary objectives of Project PACT were a) to develop a supportive institutional mechanism to address issues of HIV prevention and care within the existing Police system and b) to develop an effective mechanism of interfacing between the Police and other key community based stakeholders working in the field of HIV prevention and care.
The formative research showed that there was an urgent need for creating an enabling environment within the Police system to support the rights of all vulnerable groups to access HIV/AIDS services in addition to generating awareness among themselves on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support programs. The overall objectives of the PACT Project strategy are to sensitize the Police towards the rights of vulnerable groups and their access to HIV/AIDS services, and to ensure that current policing practices do not exacerbate the impact of the epidemic in Uttar Pradesh through impeding HIV prevention initiatives. Putting the brakes on the spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic within the Police force, and the spread of information about the disease among their partners and families; will be a by-product of this strategy. The strategy is guided by underlying principles including ownership and active involvement of other stakeholders, a rights-based approach, high-level leadership and commitment, reduction of stigma and discrimination, and the greater involvement of people living with HIV/AIDS.
The project was executed by SRISHTI with its team of top consultants in association with the UNAIDS (UNDP) and Uttar Pradesh Police. NACO and other national / International agencies including Population Council for South and East Asia provided valuable input. The project report is available at www.srishti.org.in .
